Dryer Exhaust Duct Power Ventilator

Dryer booster fan

BDF DEDPV 705

Dryer booster fans are designed to support airflow in duct systems where ventilation performance may decrease due to long distances or installation limitations. Installed directly between round ducts, these fans help maintain consistent air movement and improve overall system efficiency.Built with durability and functionality in mind, dryer booster fans are suitable for both residential and light commercial ventilation applications.

BDF-DEDPV

Smart Dryer Booster Fan for Long Duct Runs Code-oriented safety, automatic operation, real-time alerts, optional Wi-Fi monitoring

THE SMARTEST & MOST RELIABLE DRYER BOOSTER FAN IN THE WORLD

BDF-DEDPV is a fully automatic booster fan platform designed to work seamlessly with dryer exhaust systems. It uses intelligent sensing and adaptive logic to deliver balanced airflow and to detect common duct issues early.

Built-in sensing and diagnostics Integrated digital pressure sensor Digital temperature monitoring Fan RPM (tachometer) feedback Thermal fuse protection.

Automatic synchronization First-run auto calibration to match the installed duct condition Adaptive control logic to sync with dryer operation with no user input required Post-run cooling cycle for safe operation.

Early issue detection (pressure + RPM data fusion) Lint filter filling alert (early warning) Duct blockage alert Fan lock / rotation issues

As laundry rooms move into more central areas of modern homes, dryer exhaust ducts become longer and more complex. Long duct runs reduce airflow, increase drying time, and allow lint to accumulate. A dryer booster fan system helps maintain correct exhaust performance by providing additional static pressure exactly when the dryer operates.

BDF-DEDPV is designed for HVAC-focused applications where code compliance, safety, and easy installation matter. The system automatically synchronizes with the dryer, monitors the duct condition, and provides clear status and alert indications.

Typical use cases Long duct runs Multiple elbows or complex routing Tight laundry room layouts where duct efficiency is critical Projects requiring enhanced safety and monitoring.

Compatible with gas and electric tumble dryers.

Fully automatic operation with first-run self-calibration.

Backward-curved centrifugal impeller for high static pressure capability.

Supports duct runs up to 130 equivalent feet.

Durable metal housing suitable for high-temperature, lint-laden exhaust.

Integrated multi-layer safety system with adaptive monitoring, NTC temperature sensor, fan RPM monitoring, thermal protection and dryer interlocking function.

Backdraft damper control capability

Status and alert display panel with green and red indicators.

Optional SmartEye Wi-Fi module for mobile alerts and remote monitoring.

Quiet, modern design with easy maintenance

Easy installation with clamp set and 6 ft power cord.

BDF-DEDPV is built for high-heat, lint-laden dryer exhaust environments and is engineered to support code-oriented installations.

High temperature safety Components and motor designed for dryer exhaust conditions Two-level protection Control logic deactivates the fan and triggers safety response during high temperature events Thermal fuse provides an additional layer of protection for abnormal temperature conditions.

Automatic protection and fail-safe behavior Real-time monitoring of temperature, pressure, and fan RPM Safety diagnostics approach aligned with appliance control safety practices (startup and runtime monitoring)

Non-combustible construction Durable sealed metal housing Helps reduce air leakage and supports safer operation in duct systems.

Long-run capacity Boosts airflow for duct runs up to 130 equivalent feet.

High airflow delivery Designed to deliver strong exhaust airflow typically in the 150–170 CFM range (application dependent)

High static pressure capability Backward-curved centrifugal impeller supports higher resistance duct systems.

Lint management Designed to keep airflow velocity high and help reduce lint accumulation risk inside the duct.

The wall status panel provides immediate confirmation of correct operation and clear alert signaling.

Normal states Calibration state Monitor (idle) state when dryer is off and the system is ready Dryer transition state during dryer start/stop Proper vent state during active boosting.

Fault states (red alert indications) Lint filter filling alert Duct blockage alert Fan lock alert Fan bad rotation alert High temperature alert Safety error alert.

Optional SmartEye Wi-Fi With the plug-and-play SmartEye module, alerts can be sent to the user’s smartphone, enabling remote monitoring and early notifications such as “LINT ALERT” before a hazard develops. SmartEye can also support smart home integration options (system dependent).

Durable Construction & Material Quality

The fan housing and impeller are manufactured from high-quality galvanized sheet metal, offering resistance against corrosion and long-term wear. This construction makes the unit suitable for continuous operation in standard ventilation environments.

All models are equipped with an external rotor motor featuring a closed structure, designed for air transport up to 40°C. For applications requiring additional protection, thermally protected motor options can be provided upon request.

Each unit comes standard with a terminal box and mounting legs, ensuring ease of installation. The suction and discharge nozzles are compatible with standard duct diameters and can be easily connected using clamps.

Aerodynamic Fan Design

The fan is specifically designed to operate within round duct systems. Aerodynamically curved blades support smooth and stable airflow, helping maintain consistent ventilation performance.

The impeller structure features backward-curved blades arranged to optimize airflow while maintaining controlled operation within the duct system.

Key Benefits

  • Compact inline design for space-saving installation
  • High-quality galvanized metal construction for durability
  • Suitable for operation in different mounting positions
  • Mounting legs included for wall or surface installation
  • Designed to deliver stable airflow with balanced noise levels
  • Compatible with speed control devices for flexible operation

    Speed Control Options

Dryer booster fans can be used with optional speed control devices to adjust airflow based on system requirements. Linear voltage regulators (such as BSC accessories) allow for controlled fan speed adjustment, supporting more flexible operation.

Applications

These inline duct fans are suitable for low to medium airflow ventilation systems where space is limited. Typical applications include:

  • Dryer exhaust systems with long duct runs
  • Residential ventilation systems
  • Apartment and multi-unit buildings
  • Light commercial ventilation setups

In environments with oily air conditions, it is recommended to use the system together with an oil-holding filter to maintain performance and protect internal components.
